Ofosu Kwakye Reacts To Mahamas Alleged Order For TV3 To Reinstate Nana Aba

Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Ofosu Kwakye in an interview with Happy FM has revealed that the satirical piece going round about Mahama asking TV3 to reinstate Nana Aba has no basis.

The Deputy Communication Minister said “It hasn’t got any basis and I haven’t seen any mainstream website, newspaper or radio station carrying the story because they know it’s not true. So if we come and talk about it, then we are rather giving it more prominence and they have mentioned it’s not true so we can’t go and follow up on it.

“We don’t have the power to tell the publisher not to write that and we can’t drag them to court because they have a disclaimer stating it’s not true. The only thing to do now is to ignore it because anything you say now will raise issues to another level. The one who wrote the story wrote beneath it that it’s satirical so it’s obvious it’s not true.

“TV3 is a private organization and so we can’t go and tell them what to do. If someone is sacked at Happy FM, the President can’t come and order the company to reinstate the person.”
