Chief Justice Must Restore Confidence In Ghana's Judiciary - Kwamena Duncan

Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwamena Duncan has called on Chief Justice Georgina Wood to sanction the alleged corrupt judges and restore confidence in the Ghana's judicial service.

According to Kwamena Duncan, the alleged corrupt judges in Anas' exposé of some judges receiving bribes to compromise their cases should not go scot free but rather dealt with accordingly using the judicial system.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kwamena Duncan bemoaned the conduct of the judges implicated in the Anas' video.

He therefore wants the Chief Justice to put measures in place to monitor the activities of judges in the country to avert any future occurrences.

“The way to ensure that we clear these corrupt ones; alleged corrupt ones and then also to ensure that we restore or she restores the confidence of the Ghanaian people in the judiciary…My view is that this thing must not just end here. The Chief Justice herself and the system itself must have a way to monitor and see to the end of the Anas saga and then we fall back into our old self. There should be a way to follow for the Judges to always be kept on their toes.”
