#NDCDecides: Vetting In Greater Accra Takes Off Today

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will begin vetting its Parliamentary aspirants in all constituencies in the Greater Accra Region today [Thursday].

The vetting, which was originally slated for last month, was rescheduled to 6th and 7th October.

The exercise which has taken place in all regions across the country with the exception of the Volta and Greater Accra regions, tests the credibility of the aspirants to represent the party fairly.

About 107 candidates are expected to face the vetting committee.

Out of the total number of candidates from about 34 constituencies, 16 of them are sitting Members of Parliament.

The vetting will be held at the residence of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo.

Candidates vying for the positions will be given some time to talk about their contributions to the party.

The NDC has set November 7 for its presidential and parliamentary congress.
