The leader and founder of the Miracle Hour Temple at Nkawkaw Amanfrom in the Eastern Region, Rev. Dr Samuel Ben York has descended heavily on Ghanaian journalists by calling for their immediate extermination.
The man of God revealed during a sermon that, his prayer was for reporters including their editors in the country to die in their pursuit to bring to the general public the hidden facts.�Journalists in this country are too inquisitive. They always want to know everything and I always pray to God to kill them all,� he fumed.
The pastor invoked the curse after some journalists had a paid him a visit to cross-check a story they are investigating and which concerns the pastor and some of his church members. Bishop Ben Yorke had been accused of having affairs with married women who come to him for prayers.Since the allegation does not speak well of a man of God, some reporters in the area decided to do further checks by contacting the pastor for his side of the story. The pastor, who did not take kindly to the move by these reporters, got furious and started raining insults on them.
The pastor who could not restrain himself went berserk during one of his Sunday sermons. He told the congregation that, journalists in this country are too inquisitive and that he was praying for their death.
As if what he had done in church was not enough, the pastor later called one of the reporters, Mike 2 of Obuoba FM who attempted to interview him, and rained what could be described as irrevocable curses on him. �You either dropped the story or involve yourself in a fatal accident and I will make sure all of you reporters follow suit,� he charged. �Go to Kumasi and ask the journalists there and they will tell you that nobody interferes in my personal life�, he added.
