My Fear In Politics Is The �Insults��It Has Been My Headache - Dr. Zanetor Rawlings

Aspiring NDC Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey Constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, has revealed that she nearly quit politics due to the high use of vituperative language by political fanatics.

She disclosed that her desire to enter Ghana’s politics was established some years back, but - “The difficulty and what I always think about is insults ‘Politics of insults’”

“…I asked myself several times, am I ready to deal with this kind of thing?” she opined.

Zanetor Rawlings who was speaking on NEAT FM morning show 'Ghana Montie' also lamented that her comrades fear to enter politics - “I have loads of friends willing to join politics but because of insults and lies to tarnish reputations, they are afraid to join any political party or do active politics.”

According to her – “I am not prepared to endure that kind of thing [insults] unnecessarily. If I am wrong, tell me that but don’t insult me because I will not insult anyone. You can agree to disagree without descending into abuse.”

The daughter of former President John Jerry Rawlings said, being the first female to contest the Korle Klottey NDC seat, she is very optimistic of wining the primaries.

“I will urge all women in the constituency to come together for a cause. Our voice must be heard,” she said.
