NDC Is No More Attractive In Eastern Region; Agenda 50-50 Has Failed - NPP E/R First Vice Chair

First Vice Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region, Alhaji Umar Bodinga has hit back at the ruling NDC Eastern Regional Chairman, Bismark Tawiah Boateng for his allegation there is influx of NPP members in his party’s biometric registration.

According to Bismark Tawiah Boateng, some of the NDC Parliamentary Aspirants have registered people the party suspects are members of the opposition NPP just to maximize their votes in the November 7 Congress.

He added there is a reason to conclude that these invaders who are members of the NPP will vote against President Mahama during the endorsement as a sign that some of the NDC members want President Mahama out of office.

He has therefore admonished that anybody who vote against President Mahama during the Congress will be arrested by the police because a vote against the President will amount that the person is a member of the NPP.

Reacting to the allegation on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Alhaji Bodinga who was furious said the NDC Chairman in Eastern Region should not be economical with the obvious truth that the NDC is not attractive in the region.

He propounded that the people of Eastern Region have decided to vote against the NDC government after realizing that the party is not democratic enough to allow transparency, free and fair competition when they its Executives frustrated and denied George Boateng who wanted to contest President Mahama.

He stressed there is undeniable fact the division in the NDC in the Eastern Region which has made the NDC’s agenda 50-50 impossible; hence the frustration of Tawiah Boateng to blame his woes on the opposition NPP.

He sounded clear that no NPP member has joined the NDC’s primaries to tarnish the name of President Mahama but rather some of the NDC members are ready to vote against the President due to the division.

“NDC is no more attractive in Eastern Region; they know even some of the NDC members are ready to vote against President Mahama and that is the reason the Chairman has come out to warn the members. There is a serious division in NDC because the incumbent MP for Lower Manya went for a vetting with ‘macho-men’ with sticks and Akwetia is also divided as some are in support of Baba Jamal and others want him out”, he asserted.

He however mentioned that the NDC leadership in Eastern Region has failed if it now suspects some of the new members who have joined their Electoral College through the biometric registration are NPP members, with the intention to vote against President Mahama.
