In case your radio set couldn’t receive any signal thus making it impossible to listen to NPP’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo latest studio interview with Accra based Citi FM, well Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo says it was because of a deliberate ploy by the ruling NDC to jam the station's frequency.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South was emphatic that government interfered with reception of signals for the public to “clearly” listen to the “future president”, Nana Addo.

“Citi FM was jammed by government. Some Ghanaians were not able to receive signals to listen to the interview” - the lawmaker said on Asempa FM.

Nana Addo was scheduled for a studio interview with the Accra-based radio station – he discussed a wide range of issues concerning the country and his aim for the country when he becomes Ghana’s next president after election 2016.

But some of the ardent listeners of the Adabraka-based private radio station claim there was an unsual interference in the frequency.

Management of the station are however, yet to make public if truly their signals were interrupted as claimed by NPP’s Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

But Napo, who insisted he had reports across the country concerning the unfortunate incident, charged Citi FM to lodge a formal complaint with the National Media Commission [NMC].

“The NMC must investigate this issue. This government is just a confused government,” he said.
