$10m Prez Diaries: Stan Dogbe 'Punches' Nana Addo..."You Lied, Sir" Over "Ridiculous Claims"

Beleaguered Presidential Staffer, Stanislav Xoese Dogbe, has fired a sharp riposte at flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, dismissing as "ridiculous claims" the latter's assertions that government spent a whooping $10 million on printing presidential diaries.

The presidential staffer, who has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons, also pulled no punches in rubbishing the 2016 NPP Flagbearer's claims as "outright lies".

Nana Akufo-Addo, over the weekend, whiles interacting with some NPP members at an International Conference at the NH Grand in Amsterdam, claimed the Mahama-led administration spent the colossal amount just to print limited presidential diaries.

The flagbearer of the ‘Elephant’ party, who was reportedly saddened by the report, bemoaned the fact that majority of Ghanaians continue to struggle on daily basis to earn a living whiles government embarks on profligate spending.

I listen to the disillusionment of the average Ghana with politicians who promise them relief and end up bringing them grief when they get into office. I listen to the journalist who is saddened by the revelation that a government can spend $10 million to print presidential diaries. Yes, you heard me right: $10 million,” Nana Addo alleged.

But Stan Dogbe, in a response posted on his facebook wall, said such expenditures are mostly sponsored by corporate bodies, adding "sir, you lied."

"Ridiculous claims and OUTRIGHT LIES all in the name politics and undying quest to be President. I can't say for when he was a Minister in a government, but sir, you lied," he said.

The embattled presidential staffer, who is still reeling under a barrage of criticisms from a section of the public for manhandling and destroying a recorder belonging to a GBC staff, Yahaya Kwamoah, with the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) even leading a crusade to have him dismissed, however, failed to provide names of the corporate organizations that paid for the presidential diaries.

"No government under the NDC has spent a pesewa of the public purse to produce diaries. Such diaries have always been paid for from corporate advertising proceeds, and the canvassing for such adverts is the responsibility of the company selected to produce the diaries.

$10 million for diaries? You could have looked for a more convincing lie, not this one. And you want to lead the people of Ghana?" Stan Dogbe cynically queried.
