Former CPP Flagbearer Delivers On His Promise To Party

2012 flagbearer of the Conventions People’s Party [CPP] Abu Sakara, has donated 10 brand new motorbikes to his party to facilitate the mobility of party officials in the performance of their duties ahead of 2016 elections.

Dr. Sakara promised 100 bikes but delivered 10 at the party’s national headquarters in Accra – four of the bikes have been allocated to the Volta and Western region, one at the party’s headquarters and one to the women’s wing of the party.

Presenting the motorbikes at a brief ceremony, Dr. Abu Skara said he had undertaken a nationwide tour to test the waters, with regard to his presidential ambition – thus, when the party opens nomination forms for their primaries, Dr. Sakara will contest for the presidential slot again.

He assured that the remaining 90 motorbikes will be available to the party soon.

Receiving the bikes, the first National Chair of the CPP, Hajia Hamdatu, on behalf of the party, thanked Dr. Adu Sakara for the donation – “We are most grateful to our former flagbearer”.

She beseeched all CPP members to emulate Dr. Sakara’s gesture to help the party’s preparation towards the 2016 elections.

All members of the CPP who want to donate, we are calling on them to do so. Our party’s national chairman has advised all who want to donate to donate through the right channel,” she said.

Hajia Hamdatu however assured that the executives would put the motorbikes to good use for the benefit of the party.
