"Change Your Management" - Rex Omar Tells Ofori Amponsah

Ace highlife and afro jazz musician, Rex Omar has urged highlife artiste turned pastor, Ofori Amponsah to consider changing his management. According to the 'Abiba' hit singer, Ofori Amponsah is being ill-advised by his management team. Rex Omar, born Rexford Owusu Marfo was speaking with Mike 2 on Adom FM's Entertainment Hall. He said Ofori Amponsah's recent insistence that he will perform in nightclubs even though he is a pastor, plus his failure to quote a simple bible verse adequately in the media, shows he has bad handlers. Ofori is talking too much and I think his management is not helping him at all, he has bad management," he stated. In as much as Ofori Amponsah is generating publicity and the necessary hype, Rex Omar feels his management could have properly directed him on his recent utterances in the media. In July 2012, Ofori Amponsah declared that he had received the calling of God to be a pastor. He quit secular music and started his own church - Holy Grounds Sanctuary. When he left secular music he stated categorically that he has lived a lie as a musician and he was not going back to it because there is nothing more for him to attain in secular music. But earlier this year, he announced a return to highlife/hiplife, and true to his word has recently released a single called "Alewa" featuring Sarkodie. Ofori has since been granting interviews in the media, insisting his return to secular music will not conflict with his work as a Pastor, a position several men of God totally disagree with. Rex Omar is urging Ofori to tone down on his comments in the media and think about getting a new management.
