NDC’s Aluta Boys in Tamale who have condemned the release of five youth activists of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) jailed for life have made a sudden u-turn to cause havoc in the district.

A Court of Appeal in Kumasi on Wednesday acquitted and discharged Yahuza Yakubu, Majeed Alhassan, Habib Mohammed Dagbana, Shaibu Alhassan and Moro Gundaana – but the pressure group described the ruling as an affront to justice.

Prior to the ruling, the group had yearned for the incarceration of the NPP activists, but later told NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie that it is “Not part of their business”.

Alhassan Abdul Jalaw, a member of the group told host Kwasi Aboagye that – “Aluta boys stand for peace. We are not violent people. We only fight when you look for our trouble…if you look for our trouble we will also look for your trouble.”

Alhassan Abdul however assured that – “There is going to be peace in Tamale”
