Call Your Aluta Boys To Order Sammy Awuku To NDC

The NDC youth group, calling itself Aluta boys, say they are against the release of the five NPP activists who were jailed for life for the murder of Alhassan Rashid, an NDC youth activist in 2009.

A court of Appeal in Kumasi on Wednesday freed the five — Yahuza Yakubu, Majeed Alhassan, Habib Mohammed Dagbana and Shaibu Alhassan.

However, the NDC’s Aluta boys condemned the release.

Speaking on Eyewitness News, Sammy Awuku said the youth are clearly frustrated over lack of jobs in the country.

“Most of these NDC youth need jobs and that is what Nana Akufo Addo is talking about because the devil finds work for ideal hands. When there are jobs in the country, people will be gainfully employed and they will see violence as the last option” he noted.

Sammy Awuku further urged the NDC to call its members to order while urging NPP members in the area to exercise restraint.

“I do not want to believe that the NDC will make their youth to become lawless. I’m calling on my colleague National Youth Organiser of the NDC to also call his people to order because these are troubling times for the country. We have challenging moments for the youth of the country so we wouldn’t like a situation where the NDC will provoke another attack on the NPP members and it becomes difficult for some of us to call our people to order.”

He also called on the law enforcement agencies to dispatch their personnel to the area in order to save lives and properties. The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku, has criticized a Tamale youth group of the National Democratic Congress for threatening mayhem over the release of some NPP activists.
