I Will Cross Carpet To The NDC If... - PNC Communications Director

Communications Director of the People's National Convention (PNC) has sworn to defect from his party to join the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, he will gladly surrender to the Mahama-led government and fully support their course.

However, his crossing carpet will not come without a cost.

Speaking to host Nana Yaw Kesse on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", the PNC Communications Director, Henry Asante said he will do so IF the Mahama administration wins the 2016 elections genuinely.

He strongly asserts the ruling party cannot win next year's polls should the Electoral Commission (EC) compile a new voters’ register.

Contributing to the panel discussion on the station's flagship programme, Henry Asante noted that the current register has lost credibility and so cannot be depended upon for a free and fair general elections in 2016.

Alluding to the various allegations leveled against the EC for refusing to compile a new register, the PNC Communications Director was emphatic that should "we compile a new register and the NDC wins the elections, I will join NDC. I promise you. If the government approves of the new register and the NDC wins the elections, I’m promising you that I will join the NDC.
