NDC Burns Biometric Voters Register

Information reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that, executives of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Atebubu Amantin constituency have burnt the party’s voters’ register.

The register had been given to them for delegates of the constituency to check if their names were captured.

Confirming the incident to Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on PEACE FM, Member of Parliament for the constituency, Sanja Nanja said the registers were burnt because some of the executives said they saw the name of a zonal coordinator belonging to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in one of the registers.

"They became angry because they said they knew the names in the register...all of a sudden the registers were seen being burnt after the registers were packed and given to the constituency executives..."
