Afoko Is Still At Post Aide

Despite a decision by the New Patriotic Party’s Disciplinary Committee to suspend their National Chairman, an aide to him maintains the embattled executive is still at post. Nana Yaw Osei who is an aide to Mr. Paul Afoko made this known on Asempa FM.

He attacked the committee responsible for carrying out the decision by stating that their "illegal" move to overthrow Mr. Afoko would not be tolerated.

The NPP’s National Disciplinary Committee on 21st October, 2015, submitted a report to the Executive Committee of the NPP; recommending the indefinite suspension of Mr. Paul Afoko as National Chairman.

At its meeting on Friday 23 October, 2015, the National Executive Committee unanimously endorsed the recommendation of the National Disciplinary Committee.

The 1st Vice Chair, Mr. Freddie Blay per the NPP’s Constitution, becomes an acting National Chairman for the party.

But Nana Yaw Osei belittled the decision to appoint Mr. Freddie Blay as an acting National Chairman, describing his ascension, as unconstitutional.

He also challenged the authority of Mr. Blay, insisting that the decision to suspend the National Chairman is null and void.
