Our Aim Should Be Making Nana Addo Next PresidentNot To Fight - Ayisi Boateng Tells NPP

A founding member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Ayisi Boateng, has expressed worry about the recent unfortunate happenings in his party.

He called on party National Executives and all party members to cease “fire” and desist from issues that will daunt the NPP’s image in the public domain ahead of 2016 elections.

Ayisi Boateng also counseled party leadership to –“Obey the rules and regulations which governs the party to ensure peace.”

He was explaining how possible embattled NPP National Chairman, Paul Afoko’s indefinite suspension could be overturned by the party National Executive Committee [NEC].

According to Mr. Ayisi Boating, there is no decision which cannot be overturned provided the affected person resorts to the right channel to seek for redress - “Those aggrieved must use the mechanisms in the party to address their problems”.

“There is no decision that cannot be overturned. When a decision is taken and you’re aggrieved you use the right process to seek redress,” he added.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', the founding member advised that the NPP must resolve its internal conflicts amicably and work towards helping the party’s flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to win the 2016 election.

“We must work for Nana Addo towards 2016 to become President. That should be our [NPP] aim not fighting,” he opined.

According to him – the NPP must put a united front to salvage Ghanaians from “incompetent” President Mahama government.
