Fishermen at Half Assini and its environs have expressed their profound gratitude to the President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills for fulfilling his promise of making available premix fuel for fishermen within the area.
Mr. Emmanuel Odwiri, a canoe owner and member of the Landing Beach Committee in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during a visit to the Landing Beaches at Half Assini.
He said so far two truck loads of 27,000 litres of premix fuel had been supplied to the area, but it has been inadequate due to the large number of fishermen.
Mr Odwiri appealed to the authorities for more supply of the premix fuel since this is a bumper season.
