Afoko Is DisrespectfulFor How Long Can He Behave Like That? Dr. Amoako Baah Questions

Head of the Department of History and Political Science of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Richard Amoako Baah has described the embattled National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko as "disrespectful" and someone who needs to be warned by the leadership of the party with immediate effect.

His comments comes after the suspended chairman again called the bluff of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) by representing the NPP at a public forum on the voters' register.

The Forum was organised by the Electoral Commission to deliberate on whether the country needs a new voters' register.

Afoko was spotted together with his ‘troubled’ General Secretary, Kwabena Agyapong and party’s former chairman, Peter Mac Manu – the trio represented the NPP at the forum to justify the party’s need for a new voters’ register.

The beleaguered chairman who seems unbothered by his suspension told journalists that – he was representing the NPP as the “Chairman of NPP” – But, that compelled the acting the chairman of the party Mr. Freddie Blay to issue a statement disregarding Afoko’s claims.

But the Head of the Department of History and Political Science of the KNUST quizzed – “So for how long can Afoko continue to behave this way? So disrespectful.”

In an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie', Dr. Amoako Baah counseled the NPP to issue a communique to all institutions the party is affiliated to – so as to officially inform them of Paul Afoko’s suspension.
