Assemblyman receives relief items

The Jomoro District Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) have presented relief items to Mr Isaac Addeaba Kwesi, the Assemblyman for Jawaf, whose house was burnt to ashes on August 24. The items included four mini bags of rice, one cartoon of cooking oil, four student�s mattresses, four blankets, two cartoons of soap, two packets of aluminium roofing sheets and a number of drinking cups. The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Jomoro, Mr. Victor Neenyi Garbrah who made the presentation, expressed regret over the catastrophe and advised that the incident be reported to the Police and the Fire Services for investigation. Receiving the items, Mr Kwesi, expressed his gratitude to the DCE and NADMO for their quick response to this plight, which according to him, shall go a long way in relieving him and his family members from their predicament. In another development, the Catholic Church at Jawaf near Half Assini also presented a full piece of GTP wax print valued at sixty Ghana Cedis and a cash of ten Ghana Cedis to the victim. On August 24, 2009 at Jawaf near Half Assini in the Jomoro District, a three bedroom house got burnt leaving a family of four homeless.
