Minister Cautions Public Against Use Of Foul Language on Facebook

A Deputy Minister of Information, James Agyenim Boateng says the Ministry is not expecting the public to be condescending when they interact with them on Facebook; he has however, cautioned against the use of foul language and the passing of derogatory comments. �We are not expecting people to patronize us on the site. We welcome constructive criticisms, however, it should be devoid of insults,� he underscored James Agyenim Boateng highlighted that his Ministry found no better option to communicate with the public on the internet than Facebook, since many subscribers are logged unto the site. �There were a number of options, other interesting platforms were available to us, but we believe Facebook is a better option,� he said. James Agyenim Boateng was expatiating on �Kokrokoo� this morning, the Ministry of Information�s decision to communicate with the public on Facebook. The Dep. Information Minister was highly optimistic that the Ministry�s intention to communicate with the public on Facebook will yield productive results in the future. �The interaction will create a platform for the Information Ministry to interact with the public on issues of governance and also address certain pertinent questions of the people, which will serve the larger interest of Ghanaians in the long run,� he explained.
