Sacking CHRAJ Boss Is A Motivation For The Fight Against Corruption - Richard Nyamah

The NPP activist, who together with the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh- Dompreh, petitioned the President to investigate the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ's) boss, Lauretta Lamptey, for overspending whiles in office, is thrilled by the outcome of the probe.

NPP’s Richard Nyamah begged the President to initiate processes to probe Lauretta Lamptey after she was alleged to have spent about GHC182, 000 to renovate her official residence.

After months of investigation by a committee set up by the Chief Justice in accordance with Article 146(9) – President Mahama on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 removed from office the embattled boss of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice Lauretta Lamptey.

Richard Nyamah however described the verdict on NEAT FM’s morning show 'Ghana Montie' as – “a motivation for the fight against corruption.”

He noted that, Ghana is still struggling to develop due to the canker which has engulfed almost all government sectors.

“Ghana is corrupt and if we the youth don’t fight against it, there will be a time we can’t control it anymore,” he opined.

The NPP communication team member however urged all to help fight against corruption – adding that – “we cannot trust government to fight corruption because that is where the corruption is coming from.”

Richard also hinted that – “One case is closed…another case begins”. He told host Kwasi Aboagye that he will soon announced his next case in court against some government officials.
