Famous People (Ghana): NITA SPENDS a day with brothers George Gyo Gyimah and Gerald Ojee Gyimah, Ghana's finest music video directors, who are also affiliated with a music label in Gabon.
The brothers have worked with Ghanaian music stars such as Daddy Lumba, Ofori Amponsah, Okomfuo Kwadee, Obrafour, VIP, among others. They also work with all genres of music, from gospel to hip-life and rock to reggae. On the continental front, they have worked with 2Face Idibia and Tony Tetuila of Nigeria.
Fareed's Wedding
Studio 53 showcases yet another wedding of one of its presenters. This time, it is Fareed Khimani�s traditional Indian wedding to Leah. After getting married in Switzerland, they came back home to organise a beautiful traditional wedding in Nairobi for all their Kenyan friends and family.
Comedy festival
The Comedy Festival only added to the variety of exciting entertainment options that Monte Casino has to offer. This Festival run for over seven days and included an international stand-up theatre show, the UN Comedy Show, a late-night stand up show, Unhinged, and a local stand-up competition, Comedy Showdown. The UN Comedy Show was hosted by international comedy icon, Angelo Tsarouchas from Canada. Studio 53 talks to comedians like Steve Best from the UK, Dean from the USA, Trevor Noah, Ahmed Angelo and David Kibuuka.
Sheraton, Gambia
IK and Studio 53 also visited the Gambia, and one of the things IK had to taste was the fresh seafood. Whilst preparing a most delicious lobster and queen prawn dish, IK chatted to local celebrity Fatou.
Mokgadi Matlhako
Many designers who are starting out know that getting major retailers and clients interested in your work is tough. Mokgadi Matlhako obtained a license to design her own line of NBA themed women�s handbags after the merchandising department for the National Basketball Association fell in love with her original handbag designs. They promptly awarded Matlhako a contract to create her own upscale NBA themed handbag line. She will also be designing and supplying bags for the 2019 FIFA world cup.
