Komenda-Kissi residents construct community centre

Dr Joseph Annan, Deputy Minister of Education, has inaugurated a community centre built by the people of Komenda-Kissi in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality at a cost of GH 40,000.00. The amount was realised through voluntary contributions and Dr Annan gave GH15,000.00 towards the purchase of a public address system. The people also provided communal labour. Dr Annan, the Member of Parliament for the area, commended the people for their self- help spirit and urged other communities in the municipality to emulate them. He expressed the hope that the people would use the centre to educate themselves about government policies and programmes in order to become abreast with national issues. Dr Annan suggested that they could put the public address system to commercial use to generate funds for community development.
