Osu Beauty Pageant On Nov. 13

The Osu Traditional Council in a bid to support education and job creation for the youth would launch the 2015 Miss Osu beauty pageant competition on November 13 at the Osu Oxford Street Mall.

The beauty pageant would lead in championing the course of the Council to provide educational facilities, create job opportunities in vocational and information communication technology training, among others in the area.

A statement signed by Nana Nkosua Mingle, the event coordinator and copied the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said the main contest has been slated for Friday, December 18.

The following prizes would be at stake; winner GH₡ 5,000, 1st runners-up GH₡ 3,000 and the 2nd runners-up GH₡ 2,000.

According to the statement Miss Bereyl Adom of the National Lotteries Authority, Mr Wakefield Akuaku and Mr Johnny Bannerman of Metro TV would be the judges for the event.

Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI, the Osu Mantse would be the guest of honour, Mrs Mona Quartey, Deputy Minister of Finance, special guest and Madam Shirley Aryeetey, Minister of Fisheries, chairperson.

Nii Armah Ashitey, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Korle Klottey, Mr Philip Addison New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspiring MP, Nii John Coleman NDC aspiring MP, Mr Samuel Kwaku NDC aspiring MP, Dr Zenator Rawlings NDC aspiring MP and Nii Noi Nortey NPP aspiring MP would grace the occasion.
