No Offers For Kotokos Abeiku Ainooson

The Porcupine Warriors would probably keep their defender for the new season following reports that no club has come asking.

Asante Kotoko management has refuted reports that defender Abeiku Ainooson is on the verge of leaving the Kumasi-based side for another club.

An official said no talks were underway with Sudanese side Al Hilal to sign the 25-year-old centre-back contrary to recent rumours.

However, the Ghana Premier League giants are willing to offload the local Black Stars’ player, who joined the outfit in 2013 from New Edubiase United.

“We have not received any offer from any club. But if they are really interested then I urge them to come forward because if the player wants to leave, we will not stand in his way,” Kotoko general manager Samuel Opoku Nti was quoted as saying by Sports Crusader.

The Porcupines finished the 2014 / 2015 season second on the log behind champions Ashanti Gold.

Kotoko have signed a couple of new players ahead of the upcoming campaign including goalkeeper Ernest Sowah, defenders Samuel Kyere and Edwin Frimpong Manso and midfielder Theophilus Nyame.
