Milovan Rajevac has praised his players for their commitment as Ghana attempts to seal a second successive World Cup appearance. The Black Stars would come up against Sudan in a 2010 joint Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday. Ghana will qualify for the 2010 World Cup if they beat Sudan in Accra and Mali draw against Benin in the other group game. Rajevac says his players have worked hard but are aware of that the job is incomplete. �We have a good group of talented players who know the situation which we find ourselves in. The most important aspect of this game is to achieve success,� he told www.ghanafa.org �I need to say, I have a very good group. We have had results and still need to have results. �They (players) like their country and realize what it means to play for the jersey.� �It�s a priceless honour for them to represent their country and qualify for a big competition like the World Cup. This team is very hungry to go again (a second World Cup appearance). �They are aware of what they can achieve and they have the quality to go on and on. I strongly believe we would make it. I am very confident.� The team has looked a class apart in Group D having maintained a hundred percent record since the start of the campaign after winning all three matches and still yet to concede a goal. But while the country is dreaming of another World Cup place, Rajevac insists he is counting on the leadership skills of Stephen Appiah and other senior players to keep the boys focused and ready for the game. �We must know that Appiah is the captain and has quality, he is important for the whole team. He is the leader. I think some of the talk about his situation is hurting. But you still get to see his qualities. He has a very strong character. �Even when he is not around, you can fill his presence as he calls and gets the team going. Sometimes he doesn�t need to be on the pitch but he plays a key role and I count on him to carry on with that,� he said.
