Kotoko Begins Pre-season Preparation in Sekondi-Takoradi

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club has pitched camp in Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region, to prepare towards the 2015/2016 premier league season.

Mr. Charles Kwarteng, spokesperson for the club’s supporters in the Western Region, told the media in Takoradi, on Tuesday that, the contingents of players and technical staff arrived in the twin city on Monday, November 15, and were based at Saint Mary’s guest house at Apowa near Takoradi.

He said his interaction with the head coach of the club, Mr David Duncan, revealed that the team would workout at the beach to build their physique, but would also undertake field training at the Essipon Sports Stadium as well.

Mr. Kwarteng debunked allegations that the Club failed to secure a decent accommodation for the contingent, saying that, they were housed in a guest house.

The Club has a strong support base in Sekondi-Takoradi and had recorded decent results there in league matches against clubs like Sekondi Hasaacas and Tarkwa-based Medeama Football Club, both based in the region.
