PHOTOS: PEACE FM Bids "Farewell" To Afia Konadu...As She Marks Her 65th B'day
Host of 'Wo haw ne sɛn?' and 'Asomdwee NkomƆ', Maame Afia Konadu on Tuesday said goodbye to workers and management of PEACE FM.
Maafia, as she is popularly called, has been working for 45 years now. She started as a teacher and then went to work with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).
Few years later, she was invited by Dr Osei Kwame Despite to help in running PEACE FM which was then a 'baby'.
Celebrating her 65th Birthday on Tuesday, 17th November, 2015, Maafia told Kwami Sefa, host of PEACE FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' that she has "done my part, I am tired and it is time for me to leave and for somebody else to takeover."
As part of her birthday celebration, she went to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital to donate some items to the inmates. In the evening, she was accompanied by Dr Osei Kwame Despite, Dr Ofori Sarpong and staff of the Despite Group of Companies to mark a Thanksgiving Service held in her honour at the Victory Presbyterian Church.
