Wakasu Has More Learning To Do

Las Palmas coach Quique Setien says midfielder Mubarak Wakaso needs to learn a lot to be able to fit perfectly into his system despite the midfielder excelling in Ghana matches.

Wakaso, who was suspended for two matches for the accumulation of yellow cards, trained with Las Palmas, ahead of the clash with Deportivo La Corona at the Estadio de Gran Canaria on Saturday.

However, the Ghanaian was not among the 18 players who were called into the squad for camping ahead of the game which has surprised many because of the midfielder's excellent showing when playing for Ghana.

But coach Setien believes that the Ghanaian needs to learn a lot in his quest to win more playing time with The Yellows.

“Wakaso is a goo player, but he lacks the understanding of certain things. He will need to learn a lot to be able to fit very well into the team,” Setien said.

The Spaniard, however, lauded the personality and attitude of the Ghanaian during games.

“He has gotten a strong personality and plays very strongly. His attitude is excellent and he must build upon that," Setien added.

He ended by saying Wakaso will have his time just like the other players: “His time will come just like the other player,” he concluded.

Wakaso joined The Yellows this season after falling out with Scottish giants Celtic and has since been a strong performer for the side.
