Fatau Dauda Ready To Extend Contract At AshGold Despite Offers From South Africa

Ashanti Gold goalkeeper Fatau Duada has revealed his desire to extend his contract with the Miners despite receiving offers from South Africa.

Dauda has been reported to be a target for two unnamed ABSA Premier League sides after helping the Obuasi-based Club to win the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League.

The Black Stars goalkeeper who returned to his former Club after a fruitless stint with Orlando Pirates and Chippa United says he is ready to sign a contract extension with the Ghana Champions.

“I will be happy to stay with AshantiGold all because we have Africa and it’s a good platform. If we play in Africa and we do well like Berekum Cheslea that reached the group stage in 2012 most of their players were bought so it’s about determination,” he told Starr FM.

“I can say let me stay with AshantiGold and if we excel in Africa, something good can come my way.”

The local Black Stars goalkeeper has been with Ashanti Gold for the past nine years after joining from Okwawu United on 2006.
