Court bonds drivers mate to be of good behaviour

A Kumasi Circuit Court has bonded a drivers mate for two years to be of good behaviour or serve three months imprisonment for causing harm to his colleague. Kofi Agyemang pleaded guilty to the offence. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Martin Assenso told the Court presided over by Mr. Adjei Frimpong that Kwabena Owusu, the complainant and Agyemang lived at Deduako near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi. He explained that on 2100 hours on August 21, the two went to a chop bar (food joint) to eat. Whilst eating, they engaged in a conversation, which generated into a heated argument compelling Agyemang to inflict wounds on Owusus neck and shoulders with a razor blade. Inspector Assenso said a witness in the case overpowered Agyemang and handed him over to the police. The convict in his caution statement, confessed to the crime and he was arraigned.
