Hearts Coach Unhappy With Grassless Training Pitch At Tesano

Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi is displeased with the Phobians training venue at the Police Depot pitch at Tesano.

The Rainbow Club moved their training venue from Pobiman to the grassless pitch in Accra where they have been holding their pre-season exercise for the past four weeks.

The unfriendly nature of the pitch has left several players in the team injured.

Emmanuel Hayford, Isaac Oduro, Kwame Kizito, Maxwell Boakye and Kenneth Okoro are all reported to be on the injury list due to the poor nature of the field.

Yatsuhashi is however unhappy with the condition at hand.

“My last coaching job was in Qatar. Yes, we had the best of everything there but previously when I was in the United States and Kyrgyzstan, the condition was very difficult, even worse than what we have so this is not ideal for a professional club like Hearts of Oak,” Yatsuhashi told Accra based Starr FM.

“I have been through worst situations so I am dealing with it. Players are not happy. I am not happy but we are not complaining. This is what we have,” the Japanese American added.

The Phobians have engaged themselves in series of friendly games to prepare for the upcoming season.
