A new political party named “New Labour Party” (NLP) which is alleged to have emerged from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has welcomed some leading members of the ‘Elephant’ fraternity into the NLP to form a formidable party ahead of election 2016.

Peacefmonline.com first broke the news about the new NLP which is yet to be outdoored by some alleged NPP gurus purported to be Ex-President Kufour's allies.

Their reason is to disassociate themselves from the recent happenings in the NPP leading to the suspension of National Chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko and frustrated General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.

A member of the yet-to-be-registered party, Listowell Nana Kusi-Poku has told Peacefmonline.com that – even though the party is still in the registration process they are overwhelmed with the inclusion of some NPP leading members.

“We are pleased to warmly welcome all the illegally suspended Executives, members and all their fans and loved supporters from the rank and file of the New Patriotic Party who have genuinely in the spirit of adoration joined the New Labour Party, the broad-based party for the silent majority,” he said. 

Adding that - “Sincerely, in view of the way and manner people are joining the party even at this stage where registration is still ongoing, it is undoubtable that with the spirit of oneness and our focus on the philosophy of “together we build”, we are a going to make history in the 2016 elections.”

Listowell however described the NPP as a “Terrorist” party – “It is obvious that the new patriotic party has now metamorphosed into a terrorist group which is now a threat to national security. This has come into actuality because the new patriotic party has now chosen the paths of dictatorship instead of democracy, rule of individual instead of rule of law, suppression of speech instead of freedom of speech and a ruler instead of a leader.”

The NLP is however welcoming all to join the party as they prepare to contest the 2016 election – “We have widely opened wide the welcoming gates of the New Labour Party encouraging the silent majority to come on board as we democratically resist the oppressors rule. In the New Labour Party, everyone has the liberty to share opinions, ideas, comments etc. without any shred of fear or panic. The New Labour Party gives recognition to even the only dissenting view.”
