The beleaguered Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Hon Adamu Daramani Sakande, has lashed out at the actions of some leading personalities who hail from Bawku, implicitly describing them as hypocrites. According to the Hon. Daramani, the actions of some Bawku statesmen, is at complete variance with their words. �It is very worrying�I know what is going on. The disingenuity of our politicians is the problem. They are so disingenuous not only as political leaders but as Northerners that sometimes it�s so frustrating. These guys come on radio and speak all the fine English, all the good things people want to hear, but their actions which is the most important and essential ingredient is what is the problem,� he poured out his frustrations. He was speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on �Kokrokoo� on how best to resolve the hydra-headed Bawku conflict. Sounding quite exasperated by the turn of events in the area, the MP who is also the Deputy Ranking Member on Defence and the Interior, accused the Interior Minister of �criminal incompetence� for failing to act professionally when reports of the presence of military grade weapons and guerilla training camps in Bawku emerged. He also indicted Mr. Mahama Ayariga, Presidential Spokesperson, for hanging out with people known to be criminals. �He (Avorka) himself, if he was principled, he�ll look himself in the mirror and say, I�ve failed myself� and I�ve advised myself�in his own backyard young kids are being trained with military grade weapons and what he does is throw doubt on the authenticity of the activities�one of the boys in the pictures at the guerilla training camp is the son of the NDC Constituency Chairman, Suleimana, everybody knows him in town� Hon Avorka should tell me he doesn�t know that boy, Hon Ayariga should tell me he doesn�t know that, when the boy hangs out with Hon Ayariga in Bawku all the time,� he alleged.
