Its Been Difficult Without Monk - Andre Ayew

Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew has lamented over the exit of manager Garry Monk.

The Black Stars deputy skipper is worried about the team’s poor performance in the English Premier League after the exit of the English manager.

Swansea City suffered a painful 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City at the Ittihad Stadium on Saturday.

Ayew who has so far scored six goals for Swansea City this season says the Club is facing difficult times since the departure of Garry Monk.

“We are very disappointed because we could have gone home with at least a point,” said the Ghanaian.

“We showed character and a lot of good things, but at the moment, the most important thing is the points. But hopefully, we can take the good things that we did today and use it for the next few games in front of us.”

He added: “It’s been a difficult week with Garry’s departure because he had been at the club for so long and done so much for the club.

“We’re trying to move forward and get the results we need, and hopefully, we can get out of this situation.

“City had more possession, but we had clear chances. We showed we can be very dangerous, but what is important is that you take your chances.”

The Walsh Club who are now 15th on the League table is in search of a new coach.
