UTV Promises More Packages For Its Viewers In 2016

United Television (UTV) will from January 2016 introduce more thrilling African movies, sensational talk shows and other fascinating programmes on its screen. The management of the station mentioned that the new face of UTV will commence in January 2016 with the introduction of its new educative programmes, adding the station always wants to give viewers quality entertainment programmes which promote the Ghanaian culture. “Today’s discerning viewers want more value from entertainment and for their time spent with the television whilst advertisers are demanding premium value for their spend, and UTV meets both needs,” management explained. A member of the management team in a chat with BEATWAVES stressed that the television station has successfully established its brand as Ghana’s largest broadcasting station by providing national coverage to all regional capitals in Ghana. He hinted that the station has already embarked on an expansion exercise to relay its signal further in the country. He disclosed that the expansion drive is aimed at positioning the station as the viewers’ and advertisers’ choice of free-to-air television. It will as well strive to use its expanded and improved broadcast platform to enhance programme content to meet the demand of its viewers.
