Herbert Mensah, Zanetor Rawlings Appear In Court

A court in Accra has adjourned to December 22 the case involving businessman Herbert Mensah, and Politician Zanetor Rawlings.

Both parties today turned up at the Juvenile Court in Accra to begin the process towards a legal tussle in which Mensah is asking the court to cause Miss Rawlings to grant him reasonable access to his two kids he has with her.

The court today sat in-camera.

The court also asked Mensah to file extra documents in support of his case.

Mr. Mensah has two kids with Zanetor and is seeking access to them, the reason for which he has filed a suit at the Juvenile Court.

Mr. Mensah filed a suit at the court on November 24, seeking among other things, an order to compel Zanetor to grant the former ‘reasonable access’.The order, he has prayed the court, should ensure the children spend their holidays and weekends throughout their school holidays or weekends in his Ghana or London homes.

Also, Mr. Mensah is asking the court to order Zanetor to furnish him with an ‘update report’ on the children since they relocated to Ghana specifically regarding their official residence, health, school, and progress report.

A development happening weeks after Zanetor won her bid to contest the Klottey Korle seat of her father’s party the ruling NDC, it appears to have been in the works for some time now, as a facebook post by Mr. Mensah in the week in which the suit was filed suggested

“What do you do when you have been wronged and instead of seeking a legal route for settlement you choose dialogue and it is ignored.

“This has happened to me and since the beginning of the year i have made 48 attempts (still counting) to communicate for resolution and only spoken 7 times (ignored, disrespected or selectively answered on other occasions)!

“Anyone who knows me will appreciate that i am a deep thinker and rarely act rashly or push disagreements to points of litigation. Indeed i believe that litigation should only be a last resort after you have tried and indeed foretold on more than 20 occasions.

“Sadly i now head for satisfaction and relief knowing the implications to many people’s lives and careers. It is truly sad when people allow bad advise, pride and arrogance to determine their present future, ” he posted.
