Andre Ayew Wins African Player Of The Year Award In Uganda

Black Stars deputy captain Andre Ayew has been named as the best African player in Europa at the 2015 Airtel FUFA Awards gala held in Uganda.

The Ghanaian international beat off competition from reigning BBC African footballer of the year award winner Yaya Toure and Gabonese international Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

Ayew, 25, has been phenomenon for Swansea City this season having scored six goals so far.

The ex-Ghana U20 captain thus wins his fourth award since joining Swansea City have been adjuged the Barclays Premier League player of the month of August as well as two player of the month accolade at his Club.

The former Olympique Marseille star is also in line for the CAF Footballer of the year award.
