PNC Chair: Either My Party Joins CPP Or I Resign -

One of the leading members of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) and a former National Chairman, Dr. Mike Mensah Bonsu, has threatened to resign from the party if it does not join or rally behind the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumahs CPP, in the 2012 General Elections. Dr. Mike Mensah Bonsu posits that every government in the country should aim at continuing with the good works of the countrys first president. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had great plans towards the countrys development. He had better plans for the country than any other politician so if the PNC really aims at improving the countrys development, then it should join the CPP. I believe Nkrumah had better plans for this country, so its either PNC joins CPP or Ill resign, he stressed. Speaking in an interview on PEACEFM News, he stated that the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and other social mitigation policies which have been of immense help to the citizenry, were earlier planned by the late Dr. Nkrumah. Dr. Mike Mensah Bonsu said he believes the CPP will adopt more of Nkrumahs patriotic plans to develop this country and it will be better to be part of such development.
