Two Murder Suspects For Court On Tuesday

Two men believed to be involved in the murder of a 48-year old business woman in Walewale are set to be arraigned for court on Tuesday.

The two, Issahaku Mahammadu and Alhassan Mohammed, who used to supply the deceased with goods, are reported to have confirmed their crime to the Police.
The Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, told Citi News the father of the deceased has also been arrested for aiding and abetting in the murder of the businesswoman.

“After they committed the act, one of them went to tell the father, who told them to keep whatever had transpired a secret. In the course of our investigations, we arrested the father because he knew that a criminal act had been committed and he decided to keep it a secret,” he said.

ASP Tetteh however said that the police had not yet decided what to charge the old man with.

“We are holding the other two for murder, but we haven’t decided yet what to which charge to held against the father. We are continuing with our investigations and the appropriate charge will be held against the father.”
