Chelsea To End Atsu's Loan Spell At Bournemouth

Christian Atsu has not played a single minute in the English Premier League this season. The Ghana international who was sent on loan to Everton last season by parent club and Premier League champions Chelsea switched sides for Premier League new boys AFC Bournemouth this season.

Atsu has made just two starts with both coming in the Capital One Cup for AFC Bournemouth since transferring on loan to Bournemouth despite an impressive pre-season with the club.

The Ghanaian has struggled with match fitness due to niggling injuries which saw him go back to parent club Chelsea in the course of the season for treatment.

Premier League champions Chelsea are looking to exercise a clause in Christian Atsu’s loan contract which will see the Black Stars player return to club in January according to ESPN sources.

The former FC Porto player will however be made to go on loan at a different club in the January window as Chelsea aim to give Atsu an opportunity for more playing time and keeping his fitness level up.

Christian Atsu will be the second player to have been called from a loan spell early this season by Chelsea after Patrick Bamford was recalled for the lack of playing time at Crystal Palace.

Several Premier League clubs are interested in snapping up Ghana international Christian Atsu on loan should he become available.
