The General Overseer of the Gospel Revival Church of Christ, Bishop John Kwame Boateng, has called for Ghanaians to ensure radical change in attitude – overcome the selfishness and unbridled desire for wealth, as they entered the New Year. They should make determined effort to resist inordinate greed and extravagance.
Bishop Boateng, in his New Year message, underlined that there was the need for all to accept to protect the nation’s resources and pull together to improve the quality of life for everybody.
He said the increasing abuse and misuse of natural and financial resources just to help few people to live in comfort should not continue.
“Posterity will not forgive us if we fail to protect these resources, including our lands, forests, water bodies and wildlife.” Bishop Boateng urged Christians to be prayerful and provide the needed leadership to unite the society.
The expectation was that they would focus on assisting people to smooth over their differences, to be tolerant and live in peace, especially as they prepared to go to the polls in the coming November.
He said he was confident that the nation would come out of the general elections, stronger and more united.
