Fuel Price Increment: It's Insensitive And Unacceptable - PNC National Chairman

PNC National Chairman, Bernard Mornah, has expressed disappointment in the governing party for increasing fuel prices in the country.

According to him, it is unacceptable for the Mahama administration to increase fuel prices because the government is experiencing shortfalls in revenue.

He noted on Kokrokoo on Peace FM that the NDC government in previous years joined the PNC and some other civil society groups to demonstrate against the erstwhile Kufour government for increasing fuel prices.

He said the NDC demonstrators during Kufour's regime held that the fuel price increases would overburden consumers.

Speaking to host Nana Yaw Kesse, Bernard Mornah wondered why the same party would now take delight in increasing fuel prices when they once took a firm stand against it.

“I simply disagree that at any time when there is a shortfall in government revenue, they resort to increasing petrol prices. It is unacceptable. It is insensitive.”
