Prez Mahama: I Care For The Aged

President John Dramni Mahama has indicated that, he is kind, sympathetic and gentle with others but especially the aged.

According to the president he is considerate of others' feelings and courteous in behavior and a helpful nature to the aged.

Responding to a question concerning the aged during a Press Briefing at the Seat of Government, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 – the president affirmed that “The Aged issues are my responsibility as the father of the country

He revealed that soon a ‘National Aged Policy’ will be passed by parliament to give some priority to the aged.

As to what his government will do to help the elderly – President Mahama said – “Government will assist the aged neglected by family. We will bring them on the LEAP program, and help them every monthly

President Mahama also noted that – “Government will also come out with an aged card that will help them with easy access to some public places like the hospital and the banks. When they hold that card, there is no need for them to struggle as such places.
