Christian Astu wanted by Levante

The Blues midfielder has attracted interest from The Frogs in a possible transfer deal until the end of the season.

La Liga side Levante are preparing a loan deal for Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu, which could stretch until end of the season, according to Spanish radio Cadena Ser.

Atsu, 24, joined Chelsea in 2013 after an impressive spell at FC Porto but is yet to make a single senior appearance for the Premier League defending champions.

According to reports, Levante coach Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia has been a fan of the player, who recently returned from a loan spell at Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge.

Atsu failed to appear for the Cherries in an EPL game during his six-month stay, making just two starts in the Capital One Cup, following an injury sustained while on international duty with Ghana in September 2015.

Goal understands that German club Hamburger SV and Turkish giants Galatasaray have also shown interest in Atsu, who has been capped 42 times for the Black Stars, scoring nine goals.
