Chief Campaigns For Nana Addo

The Chief of Adoagyir and the Ankobeahene of Akyim Kotoku Traditional Area, Okoanadwo Afutu Dompreh II, has pledged support for New Patriotic Party’s Presidential Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of the 2016 elections.

According to Okoanadwo Afutu Dompreh II, his people will make sure Nana Addo and the current Member of Parliament, Frank Annor Dompreh, are voted for. The chief made this known on Wednesday, January 13 when Nana Addo called on him at his palace.

The NPP flagbearer had called on the chief prior to a donation made to the victims of last month’s quarry explosion. The Akyim Kotoku Ankobeahene said for Nana Addo to sympathise with them, “we will always be grateful to him”.

“You have shown the people of Adoagyiri that you have them at heart. Come election time, we will make sure we also have you in our hearts. We will make sure that the people of Adoagyiri, in 2016, vote for you and for Hon. Frank Annoh Dompreh.”

He also promised prayers of strength and wisdom for Nana Addo.

Nana Akufo-Addo also called on the Sarkin Zongo of Adoagyiri, Abdul Majeed Yakubu, before leaving for ground zero, where he donated 100 bags of cement, 400 pieces of roofing sheets and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Nana Addo used the opportunity to canvass for votes from the people.

“I want you to trust me. I am humbly asking Ghanaians to give me and the NPP the chance to implement the good plans we have for this country. We are going to change the fortunes of our country, and bring about prosperity for all and jobs for our youth, so our young people can live lives of dignity.”
