Swansea Rejects Sunderland Bid For Andre Ayew

Swansea City have rejected a bid from Premier League rivals, Sunderland, for forward Andre Ayew.

Reports in The Mirror shows how the Black Cats had prepared an offer thought to be around £12-million for the Swans summer signing who has found the net seven times in 20 appearances so far this season.

The former Marseille winger joined the Swans on a free transfer and has since been a revelation up front.

During his time in the French Ligue 1 the 26-year old made 160 appearances for Marseille while scoring on 44 occasions.

The Ghanaian is believed to have a contract till 2019 at the Liberty Stadium and it is clear Swansea are not willing to let their star asset leave this window.

Swansea have already let Jonjo Shelvey leave the club for relegation stragglers, Newcastle United, so letting go of another star man to a rival side could prove to be catastrophic.
