The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo would not be in charge of the distribution of contracts under his administration.
Nana Addo addressing party supporters at the party’s fundraising event organized in the Ashanti Region assured the party’s supporters that he was superintend over a transparent admninstration which would not give room for his wife to be distributing contracts in the country.
“My wife would not be in charge of the distribution of contracts in this country…she would never distribute contracts in the country…,” he assured.
Nana Addo also told the gathering that he would ensure a prudent use of the country’s resources when voted into power.
He said like, Ivoirian President Alhassane Ouatarra, he would channel the nation’s resources into productive sectors of the economy.
“I won’t operate a family and friends government in Ghana and I can assure that every person in the country would have his fair share of the national cake…,” he said.
He therefore urged the people to ‘have confidence in me and entrust the nation’s resources into my care for efficient use.’
