Indeed every dog has its day. Highgrade Family artiste, Kofi Kinaata for sometime now has been dominating the Ghanaian entertainment scene with great songs; Oo Azay, Move, Different ft. Kese, Crusade among others but one song that gained lot of plays and reviews last year through to this year is Susuka which was produced by Kin Dee.
Kofi Kinaata in an interview on Hitz Fm revealed that he didn’t know the song would be that big. When asked by the host whether he saw that coming he said,
After I was done cooking the song, my manager instantly told me that ‘Susuka’ would be a banger, but I did not believe him, maybe he has been in the system for long and can see it, as in that level of popularity coming but for me, I didn’t anticipate this level of popularity”.
He continued, “Here we are the song was rated in Google’s top 10 as a song that was searched by Ghanaians the most last year.”
Kofi Kinaata is expecting to be nominated in at least 3 categories in this year’s VGMAs i.e. popular song of the year with ‘Susuka’, new artiste of the year, best collaboration of the year with Crusade among other categories.
