Forensic Audit Report By Police Exonerates Anonakakabaa Royal Family

A thorough forensic audit by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has brought to light that some documents on family lands purported to have captured the signature of the late Nana Abor Ewusi XIX, were manipulated and forged.

After carefully studying and comparing documents alleged to represent that of the late chief, it was realized that there were several elements of loopholes.

This was contained in a report signed by DSP Godwin Lavoe, Document Examiner and David Agyeman Adjem, Assistant Commissioner and Director of Forensic Science Lab.

Signatures made on June 1, 1981 representing Nana Abor Ewusi XIX on the Indenture No.? CCT.530A/81 was identified not to represent that of Nana Abor Ewusi XIX.

It is on this note that the Obusuapanin of the AnonaKakabaa Royal Family, Kojo Yoyoo, has informed Peacefmonline.com in an interview that the family would take drastic actions to ensure that persons who have wrongful encroached any portion of the family land are evacuated.

He observed that since the death of the late chief, some persons have tried to capitalize on the unfortunate situation to channel wealth which belongs to the AnonaKakabaa Royal Family into their personal reserves.

He however vowed to ensure the findings unearthed by the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service are enforced to ensure his family benefits from what it is due.

The final report in the possession of the AnonaKakabaa Royal Family was acquired after the Superintended of Property Fraud Section of the Criminal Investigations Department sent a formal request to the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service requesting the latter to undertake a forensic examination on documents which were labeled as Exhibits A,B,C,D,E,F,G and H which had been subject of controversy surrounding ownership.

The audit considered Application for Pass which was handwritten dated on 16th March, 1993 marked ‘A’, Application for Pass (hand-written) dated 22nd March, 1994 marked ‘B’, Application for Pass (handwritten) dated 22nd March, 1994 marked ‘C’, Confirmation of Authorization dated 18th April, 1994 marked ‘D’, Typewritten document marked ‘E’, Application for Permit dated 20th July, 1994 marked ‘F’, An Indenture No. CCT. 530A/81 made on 1st June, 1981 marked ‘G’ and An Indenture No. CCT. 530A/81 made on 1st June, 1981 marked ‘H’.

Through this process, it was gathered that documents on family lands purported to have captured the signature of the late Nana Abor Ewusi XIX, were either manipulated or forged.
